in the library with Mrs. Anderson to discuss the books. Meetings are held
during lunch time. Students who read the required number of books and complete book

VSBA Official Website: http://www.mtsu.edu/~kpatten/vsba.html READING
COUNTS Reading
Counts is computerized testing for reading comprehension. Students read a
book and take a ten question test on the computer. Books are labeled for
Reading Counts according to what is appropriate for a particular grade level.
Books are considered for reading level and content. Most books are labeled
“red” meaning that they are for all grade levels; however there are some
books that require specific designation for a certain grade level.
Regardless, each grade level is presented with a wide variety of excellent
books. Grade
level reading lists can be found on our sharepoint
webpage. 6th grade
