From the Principal

Welcome to the Winstead school family where we are committed to providing children an education that excels in both academics and character formation in an environment that is both nurturing and engaging. Our goal is to equip every child with a foundation of knowledge, skills and values necessary for them to become life-long learners and tomorrow’s leaders.

Much of what makes for an engaging school environment occurs from parental encouragement and involvement. One of the best ways parents can embrace this role is by serving with our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Our PTO is an active and vital part of our school’s success, and we encourage parents to be involved.

Another feature of a healthy school family is communication. Staying connected with parents is important to us and we do so in a variety of ways. We use voice-mail to get important information out quickly and newsletters for more comprehensive things like events and calendars. Our teachers have class websites so parents can access specific information about their child’s classroom. The classroom teacher is also the best person to answer most parent questions. Of course, the administrative staff is always available, and we have a school website that contains a lot of information parents may find helpful.

The Winstead staff is committed to professional and relational excellence. We love what we do and passionately believe in the value of every child and their educational success. With this in mind we strive to lead and serve.
