Homecoming. Homecoming week is September 25 – 29, 2023. Daily dress-up themes are Movie Monday, Twin Tuesday, White Lie Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Franklin Friday. Float building sites for each grade level from 5:00 - 9:00 PM Monday – Thursday. The annual downtown parade starts at 10:20 AM on Friday, then back to school for yard games, karaoke, movie matinee, board games, team trivia, pickleball, flag football with “The Amazing Race” halftime shows, and a volleyball tourney. Flag football is $2.00. Food trucks will be available for lunch. The football game begins at 7:00 PM. Students should be receiving detailed information on Schoology.

Senior ACT Day. The in-school ACT is Tuesday, October 33, 2023. Students should prepare for the exam by picking up practice materials in room 708, attending one of these review sessions, or practicing online. If practicing online, students do not log in, instead just scroll down and click on practice tests.

Universal Day. The PSAT will be given on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Students must be registered by Monday, September 11, 2023. Register by paying $20 at School Cash Online or pay in person in the counseling center with exact cash or check payable to FHS. Melissa Campbell in the counseling office is collecting the fees for the test. The PSAT will be online this year. You can find a practice test and sample questions on the Digital Platform Information Page. Students not taking the PSAT will be taking a practice ACT that day.

Student Parking. Students will have reserved parking this year. Parking permits will be assigned to specific parking lots. All students must have attended CheckPoints training to receive a parking pass. If you have not attended a CheckPoints training session this summer, you may attend a session in the cafeteria. All students must attend with a parent/guardian. See CheckPoints schedule below.

In the Google form which opens at 8:00 AM on Friday, July 22, 2023, students will have the opportunity to select their first two (2) choices of lots. We will do our best to accommodate each student with their first or second choice, but there is no guarantee. Student parking lot assignments will be first come, first served, so if both lots are full at the time of payment by the student, FHS reserves the right to select the next available lot and assign it to the student.

Please remember that all students must pay for their parking pass before completing the Google form. Students must use their wcs.myplace account to access the form. The Google form for parking on campus will be sent to students on Friday, July 22, 2023 at 8:00 AM.

If you are a new senior to FHS and do not have access to your myplace account, contact Mrs. Ruth.
