Grassland Middle eighth graders are learning about coding in Myron Maxwell's computer science class.

Using a program called App Lab, students are creating their own apps that focus on topics like studying and fitness. The assignment gives students the opportunity to be creative and build something they find useful.

"My app is a workout and fitness app that will give you a daily workout and diet plan," said GMS student Griffin Gagliano. "My favorite part of this class is that you can really talk to your classmates and help each other. There's a lot of creativity involved, and you can do anything."
