Elementary students around the district have been celebrating Read Across America Week.

With fun activities, author visits and plenty of dress-up days, students and teachers spent the past week showcasing what they loved most about books and reading.

"We're celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday week," said GES student Natalie Robinson. "On Monday, we had an author visit our school. She talked about love and kindness in her books. I like to read a lot of different books, and I really like graphic novels and chapter books."
