    Hillsboro School - Middle

"I love being able to participate in athletics like cross-country and track and field. I enjoyed meeting new friends at Hillsboro and getting to see them everyday." - HEMS student Brian Church

    Independence High

"The best part of Indy is its people. We have the most amazing group of teachers and students. The students are fun to be around, and the staff goes above and beyond for the students. We aren't kidding when we call ourselves the "Indy Family." I have never worked in a place quite like this, and I feel confident in saying there is no place better." - IHS teacher Megan Hardin

"The connection between everybody and everything is amazing. The community here is great. I love seeing that there is never anyone alone here. I think it's awesome." - IHS student Hannah Oltmanns

  • The Hillsboro School theater department brought students into the world of fairytales during a daytime performance of Shrek the Musical, Jr.

On Monday, April 3, the cast put their best feet forward for a special show and entertained their fellow students with the hilarious tale of Shrek, Donkey and Princess Fiona.

  • There is always something going on in Independence High's College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE) programs.

Whether they want to host an egg hunt in the Early Childhood Education classes or build a house out of balsa wood in Architecture and Engineering Design, students have plenty of options to choose from.

"I thought that taking Early Childhood Education would be the path I wanted to take," said IHS student Will Giffen. "The interaction with the kids and the friendships you get to build in the classroom really makes it awesome."
