Grassland Elementary Hosts Cinderella Ball

When first graders walked into Grassland Elementary May 8, it was like walking into a fairy tale.

GES teachers celebrated the end of the fairy tale unit by decorating the cafeteria like a castle. Students and families practiced ballroom dancing, made their own crowns and tiaras and posed for photos in front of a castle mural.

"We were thrilled to celebrate our first-ever Cinderella Fairy Tale Ball," said GES first-grade teacher Madison Wallace. "Teachers and parents came together to make this a magical day for students. We were honored to be part of this new tradition and to watch their smiling faces light up as they entered the room."
