Community Sings with Grassland, Hunters Bend, Walnut Grove Elementary Schools

Students at Grassland, Hunters Bend and Walnut Grove elementary schools recently joined voices for a special event in Franklin.

On Monday, May 22, the Franklin cluster elementary schools came together during the Community Sing event to sing and dance with Franklin singer/songwriter and HBES substitute teacher Roger Day.

"It was a wonderful experience to see children and parents singing together," said WGES Principal Dr. Kate Donnelly. "Community is built around connection through shared experience, and, last night, we created a great deal of community. We are hopeful that we have created a new Franklin tradition."
