There's something extra sweet about the cookies store at Brentwood High.

The business, which is run exclusively by students in Teresa Ashcraft's support services class, sells cookies at the school every morning. Through their work at the store, the students are learning important job skills and having fun at the same time.

"I love making cookies," BHS student Reagan Ker. "You get to be with friends, and I like bagging the cookies. After that, we put them on the counters, open the doors and let the kids in."

  • Winstead Elementary opened its doors for special visitors on Monday, September 11.

Students and their grandparents were invited to enjoy breakfast in honor of Grandparents Day. After breakfast, grandparents of fifth-graders were invited to visit their students' classrooms to speak.

"It's so great that there are so many grandparents here who want to participate and see the school," said WSES math coach Becky Bolden. "It's always a fun day."
