Arrington Elementary's first fun run had students enjoying exercise and the outdoors.

The run was in celebration of the school's fundraising efforts. Each grade level had the opportunity to spend time outside and participate in one-lap races for boys and girls. After each race, students were free to walk, run or jog.

"I just want to say thank you to our students," said ARES Principal Amanda Fuller. "Today was not about a race. It doesn't matter if they ran three laps or 13. It doesn't change what they've donated. We were just out here to run for fun because we enjoy it and enjoy exercising."

After the fun run, the students cooled off with free snow cones.
