Fall Athletics
Fall athletic teams begin practice during the summer months before school starts in most cases. The fall athletic seasons runs from the start of school until late October or early November. Football season could last into December.

Cheerleading
Overview
A Ravenwood Cheerleader’s role it to promote and lead positive school spirit, enhance crowd involvement, and positively represent RHS both as a leader and as an athlete. Cheerleading at Ravenwood is divided into two seasons: Football (varsity and jv) and Basketball (varsity).

Cross Country
Overview
Ravenwood’s cross country program is dedicated to helping athletes run 5K as fast as possible, while establishing a pattern of lifelong healthy choices, developing strong relationships with teammates, and having fun.
Expectations
The team practices daily from 3:15-5:15 and attendance is required. There are usually seven meets each season, including state.

Dance
Shout out to all dancers interested in joining this year’s Sideline Dance Team! Tryouts will take place next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday June 22-24th in the gym at Ravenwood between 2-4p each day. Interested dancers can fill out the Google Doc linked below. Every dancer attending tryouts will be required to complete their athletic participation consent found in FinalForms. No worries for those who are not able to attend next week, we will host an additional round of tryouts after the new school year starts. Be sure to complete that Google Doc though to let us know your plans. G2B a Sideline Dancer!!

Football
Ravenwood's football program is one of the best in Tennesse, with two state titles and two runners up teams as well. Focusing on a commitment to each other, the team is always more than the sum of its parts. Reach out to Will Hester for more info.

Golf
Golf is quietly one of Ravenwood's most successful programs, with many district and region championships and several state runners up finishes as well. Contact Coach of the Year Teddy Craig for more information.

Girls Soccer
Overview
Ravenwood’s Soccer program is a highly competitive program with many experienced players.
Expectations
The team practices daily from 3:15pm-5pm and attendance is required. Games are typically held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays with limited travel. Girls play in the Fall and Boys play in the Spring.

Volleyball
Overview
Ravenwood’s volleyball program is dedicated to training the game in a healthy and supportive environment where athletes are encouraged to be good learners. Our goal is to guide the development of strong athletic skills, effective collaborative relationships, and positive communication strategies to ensure our athletes are the best teammates they can be and understand that every person in our program holds value.
Expectations
All athletes in our program will be required to attend both practice and training sessions once we begin season.
