Vision: The vision of the Hillsboro School counseling team is to assist all students in becoming intellectual, responsible, and ethical individuals who are prepared to meet the challenges and responsibilities of life.
Mission: The mission of the Hillsboro School counseling team is to inspire students to strive for excellence through academic, career and social/emotional development. Students are provided with opportunities to gain an understanding of self and others, in preparation for success as college and career ready individuals who are responsible citizens and treat others with kindness.

The school counseling program is a critical component of the education process which enhances student academic, career and social/emotional outcomes.
Effective school counseling is a collaborative process involving school counselors, students, families, teachers, administrators, other school staff and education stakeholders.
All students can be successful learners with collective support and efforts between family, school, and community members.

Your school counselors look forward to another great year at Hillsboro School. We are here to support your child whether they are an in person learner or learning remote. Our services may include one to one sessions, small group, and whole class instruction. We are here to help any way we can by supporting the "whole child." Please know your child's social, emotional, academic and behavior growth are our focus.
