The last student day of the 2019-20 school year was May 21, but teachers didn’t want their students to start their summers without one final goodbye.

Last week, many schools around the district held reverse parades. Families decorated their vehicles to drive through parking lots and see their teachers before the summer began. Both students and teachers enjoyed the opportunity to see each other again.

“It was a great chance to celebrate the end of school,” said Grassland Elementary Principal Dr. Ann Gordon. “It’s been a challenging time, and we just appreciate what everybody has done.”
