First grade students at Nolensville Elementary are celebrating Constitution Day by creating a special craft.

On September 17, first graders created their own Constitutions and decorated them using red, white and blue. The papers were crumpled to give them an aged look. While they worked on their Constitutions, students listened to music and watched videos to learn more about the historical document.

"We got to sing all these songs and watch all these videos," said NES student Emerson Despain. "We even got to write 'We the People' and decorate the piece of paper. It was fun, because I love to do crafts."
