One Month Remains in tnAchieves Mentor Recruitment

  • Published November 10, 2020

Looking for a way to help students in the community? Become a tnAchieves mentor and assist high school seniors as they transition to college.

TnAchieves is the partnering organization to the TN Promise Scholarship and works to increase higher education opportunities for students. Mentors will invest 10-15 hours helping 5-10 high school seniors each year. This year, mentors will work with their students entirely through tnAchieves CONNECT. Mentors have three roles: a taskmaster, a resource and an encourager for their students.

In 2020, Williamson County Schools had 28 mentors. This year, only 10 mentors have applied. The deadline to submit an application is December 4. Mentors must be at least 21 years old, be subject to a background check, complete mentor training and attend team meetings.
