As football fans across the country prepare for this weekend's Super Bowl, health experts are encouraging families to be cautious.

Experts say watch parties have the potential to become super-spreader events as shared food and extended time indoors with others could spread the virus. If families plan on watching the game with others outside of their immediate household, they are encouraged to wear a mask, socially distance, wash their hands often and avoid large gatherings.

"We just want our students, their families and our staff members to be safe, be careful and don't let their guard down," said WCS Executive Director of COVID Response Gary Anderson. "The virus is still here with us and could be unintentionally spread if people let their guard down."
