Williamson County schools across the district are finding fun ways to celebrate books and reading during National Library Week, April 4-10.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in unique festivities at their school libraries to include themed days such as Poetry Day and Favorite Book Day, and other schools are hosting book drives or contests. To learn more about the activities at a specific school, contact the school librarian.

"Libraries have always been a central part to learning," said Creekside Elementary librarian Dea Peach. "We create, research, collaborate, dream, explore and problem solve within these safe spaces. Libraries are the heart of a school, and Library Week is a great time to celebrate them."
