Heritage Elementary's annual Superhero Academy gives every student the opportunity to become a hero.

Since 2017, HES has been hosting the Superhero Academy to offer students time to play and learn in a fun, engaging way. This year's event went virtual to include all families. To start off the event, students dressed as superheroes, and many chose to dress as real-life superheroes like healthcare workers and emergency responders.

At the end of the event, students were surprised with a visit from a helicopter piloted by two officers from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office. HES Principal Shannon Robertson was even taken for a ride around the school.

"Superhero Academy is a chance for students to learn and have fun like a superhero," said HES fifth grader Yousif Jaber. "My favorite activity was the Dice Man Order of Operations."
