Where can you fly drones, learn CPR and develop a marketing plan all in one day?

Rising eighth-grade girls around the district are getting the opportunity to do all that and more this week at the Girls Tackling Emerging Careers (TEC) Camp. Each day, Williamson County high school teachers talk to the campers about the College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE) courses they may be able to take in the future.

The hands-on activities will also allow students to learn more about what careers they find interesting.

"I've always liked engineering and building," said Brentwood Middle student Kayla Childs. "It seemed like this camp was really up my alley. It's really cool because there are so many different classes. The drones class was my favorite today, because I've always wanted to build a drone and learn more about them."
