    The Williamson County School Board held its regular monthly meeting August 16.

    In his report to the Board, Superintendent Jason Golden thanked the members for their time and gave updates on the district's Spring 2021 TCAP data and the continued work of the curriculum review committee. He also addressed the Tennessee Department of Education once again posting COVID data numbers for WCS.

    In New Business, the Board:

    • Approved the following amendments and resolutions to the 2021-22 School Budget
      • General Purpose School Fund Amendment Carry Forward Reserves - $138,518.65
      • General Purpose School Fund Amendment Safe Schools Grant - $391,729.37
      • General Purpose School Fund Amendment State Grant Carryover - $9,936
      • General Purpose School Fund Amendment Governors Give Grant - $717,420
      • General Purpose School Fund Amendment Transition Grant - $39,512
      • Extended School Program Fund Amendment Child Care Covid Relief Grant - $ 56,000
      • Education Capital Projects Fund Intracategory Fairview High Stadium - $146,942.88
      • Education Capital Projects Fund Intracategory Trinity Walking Trail - $162,000
    • Approved the application and budget of ESSER 3.0 (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief)
    • Approved Board Policy 5.1082 Telework on second reading
    • Approved the following Board policies on first and final reading:
      • 3.211 New Project Planning
      • 3.220 Access to Private Facilities (New)
      • 4.101 Instructional Standards (New)
      • 4.204 Summer Instructional Programs (New)
      • 4.213 Family Life Education
      • 4.301 Interscholastic Athletics

    In Other Business, the Board:

    • Approved the 2021-2022 Annual Agenda
    • Approved the Recommendation for Fieldtrip Fee Requests
    • Approved the 2021-22 Sick Bank Trustees
    • Approved the Outstanding Purchase Orders for School Activity Funds
    • Approved the Applications and Budgets for IDEA, Part B and IDEA Pre-School Supplemental Grants (American Rescue Plan Act)
    • Approved the City of Spring Hill Right of Way and Easement-Bucker Lane
    • Approved the Thompson's Station Right of Way Dedication-Clayton Arnold Road
