Lipscomb Elementary students and their families brought out the western wear as the school celebrated National Walk to School Day Friday, October 8.

After donning their cowboy hats, boots and bandanas, students made the trek from the Brentwood Library through Concord Park to Lipscomb Elementary.

"Lipscomb's students have celebrated Walk to School Day for several years as part of our Coordinated Health Plan," said LES Principal Michelle Contich. "It's a fun event, and all family members can and do participate. Why not make it a Western Day to add to the excitement and draw in more of a crowd? I want to say thank you to PTO member Dorothy Smith for coordinating this year's walk."
