Fifty days of school is an important milestone, and kindergarten students at Nolensville Elementary are traveling back in time to celebrate.

Poodle skirts and leather jackets were the dress code on Friday, October 22. The students also practiced their hula-hooping and enjoyed root beer floats in their classrooms as they embraced the 1950s.

"We’re taking this opportunity to reflect on all of the amazing growth they have shown over the past 50 days of school," said NES kindergarten teacher Melissa Miller. "We’ve learned all about 1950s style and culture, and it's one of the most memorable days of our kindergarten year. We could not be more proud of our sock-hopping cuties."
