Kindergarten students and their families are getting into the holiday spirit at Heritage Elementary.

For the past week, kindergarten students have been building and decorating gingerbread houses with their loved ones. The fun activity is tied to the students' lessons about symmetry and countries around the world.

"It has been fantastic to have families back in our building," said HES Principal Shannon Robertson. "It's really been about working together and seeing the smiles on their faces has been absolutely amazing."
