WCS Celebrates School Counselors

It's National School Counseling Week, and students across the district are sharing why they appreciate their school counselors.

School counselors work with students, families, communities and school faculty and staff to deliver programs that support the academic, career and social-emotional development of all students. They play an important part in the education of students.

"Williamson County students get to know their school counselors and their roles as soon as they enter kindergarten," said WCS District Elementary and Middle Counseling Specialist Molly O'Neal. "Our students rely on their support throughout their academic careers. When asked, many students will readily tell you about their favorite school counselor."

To help us celebrate National School Counseling Week, we asked our schools' Good News Ambassadors to send video clips of students telling us why they love their school counselors.
