It's School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and Williamson County Schools wants to thank its dedicated employees for safely getting students to and from school each day.

Bus drivers are oftentimes the first and last WCS employees who students see each day. Transportation Director Jeff Fuller says they help to create a positive environment on the bus and build relationships with the students they transport.

"Many drivers I have talked to say that watching these students grow from the first day of kindergarten to their first day of high school is the best part of their job," said Fuller. "The drivers truly see the kids that ride their bus as their own, and they care about making sure they get to school and home safely."

Williamson County Schools is actively hiring school bus drivers. Those who are hired will receive benefits and paid training before starting the position. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the team as a WCS school bus driver, visit the WCS Careers page.
