Advanced Placement (AP) testing is underway for WCS high school students.

Students in ninth through twelfth grades may take the optional AP exams for the corresponding college-level course taken in high school. More information about testing schedules is available on the College Board website. The testing window is May 2-13.

Scores on these exams may be used to award credit or determine placement when entering college. Results on AP exams are not used for grades, and scores will become available online through College Board beginning in July.

For more information about district testing, visit the WCS Assessment page.

Here are some tips that could help your students on test day:

    1. Get a good night's sleep before the exam.
    2. Finish the easy questions first.
    3. Answer every question. There are no penalties for guessing on AP exams, but be sure to make educated guesses.
    4. Manage time carefully.
    5. If the exam has a writing component, plan out essays before starting to write.
