What camp allows students to make their very own robots?

From June 13-16, the WCS College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE) department hosted a summer camp for elementary students that introduced them to what's available in high school CCTE programs. Students were tasked with coding and creating a robot that could complete various challenges. Students also explored each area of STEM: science, technology, engineering and math.

"The goal of our elementary STEM camp was to have fun and make students realize how many things they are able to do," said CCTE Special Projects Coordinator Kris Schneider. "We really emphasized teamwork and problem-solving since that is at the forefront of all our high school programs. We want to engage students at the elementary level, and STEM fits so many of those career explorations."
