The 2022-23 school year is off to a strong start in Williamson County. First through twelfth-grade students were welcomed by teachers, staff and administrators alike on August 5 as they returned from summer break.

"It's been a pretty smooth start to the 2022-23 school year," said WCS Superintendent Jason Golden. "The energy from the families, students and staff members that I spoke with was contagious. I encourage our families to get involved in their child’s school and build relationships with their child’s teachers and principals. It’s going to be a great year."

Take a look at some images of the first-day fun at numerous schools around the district. The schools featured include Edmondson, Heritage, Longview, Scales, Thompson's Station and Westwood elementary schools and Fairview, Heritage, Mill Creek, Spring Station, Sunset and Thompson's Station middle schools.
