An annual fundraising event at Nolensville Elementary is getting students active.

The NES Fun Run took place Friday, October 7. Students from all grades joined their friends outside to run laps around the track as their families watched from the sidelines.

"We have been doing the Fun Run as long as we have been in this building, so at least 15 years," said NES Principal Kim Steinle. "The kids absolutely love going out and running with their friends, getting to listen to fun music, having their teachers cheer them on and earning incentives for raising funds as a class and individually. This year, we exceeded our goal!"
