A tug of war, a three-legged race and a number of other contests had students at Thompson's Station Elementary lacing up their sneakers for field day.

On Friday, October 28, each class was assigned a color and sent outside to compete in the various activities and earn points. At the end of the day, the class with the most points was named the winner. Teachers and students selected who would compete in each activity, so students had the opportunity to participate in their favorites.

"My favorite activity is the 50-yard dash," said TSES fifth grader Cash Conn. "You have to run and be in first place to help your class win, and I definitely think we're going to win."
