In recognition of those who served, the Page High Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) conducted a Veterans Salute on Thursday, November 10.

In addition to veterans in the PHS community, the local American Legion posts 22 and 215 were in attendance, as were members of the Fifty Forward Community Center in College Grove. Other invited guests included WCS Superintendent Jason Golden, School Board member Josh Brown, Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson and Williamson County Sheriff Dusty Rhoades. The guest speaker at the event was retired Col. Daniel Pugh.

"We appreciate everyone who came out to honor our country's finest citizens," said PHS JROTC instructor Eric Goslowsky. "We cannot count the blessings we enjoy in America for the sacrifices these exemplary men and women have made on our behalf, and we salute the families that have supported our veterans. They are our unsung heroes as well."

The event, which also included the PHS choir and band, was coordinated and conducted by the PHS JROTC senior staff, led by Cadet Lt. LiliAnne Snow, Cadet Command Sgt. Maj. Carys Wiechmann and Cadet Maj. Kaylor Jones.
