Start Your Application with Williamson County Schools
We use Applicant Access as our online job portal for external applicants. The steps below outline how to navigate the system and submit your application.
1. Before You Begin
Applicant Access is the district’s online hiring system used by external candidates to search job openings and submit applications.
A few things to know:
- All current job openings are listed on the portal.
- Selecting a job will open the full description.
- You can narrow the list using Search or Filter tools.
- You will need to create an Applicant Access login to apply.
Current WCS employees: Use Employee Access in ClassLink to view internal postings and apply as a staff member.
2. Search & Filter Jobs
How to find the right job:
- Open your application portal:
- External Applicants → Applicant Access
- Current Employees → Employee Access
2. Use the Filter button (shown as a funnel icon) to narrow results by:
- Date Posted
- Location
3. You can also use the Search bar to enter keywords like “teacher,” “counselor,” "coach" or “bus driver”.
4. Select a job title to open and read the posting.
Tips:
- If results look incorrect, clear your filters and start again.
- Combine Location + Job Category can help you find what you need faster.
3. Review the Job Posting
After selecting a job, read through the full posting. It typically includes:
- Position Title and Location
- Schedule/Group (full-time, part-time, supplement)
- Job Description and Pay Information
- Contact Person to email resume
- Apply button
4. Apply for the Position
New Users
- You’ll be prompted to create an Applicant Access account.
- After verifying your email, log in to continue.
Returning Users
- Enter your Email and Password.
- If needed, use Forgot Password to receive a verification code.
Completing Your Application
You’ll be guided through several sections, which may include: Personal Information, Education, Work History, References, Job-Specific Questions, Document Uploads e.g. Resume (PDF preferred), Transcripts or Certifications (if required)
Before submitting:
✔ Review all sections
✔ Upload required documents (PDF preferred)
✔ Verify your contact information
Please email your resume directly to the contact person listed in the posting. You’ll get a confirmation email once your application is submitted. You can log back in anytime to update documents.
Troubleshooting
I can’t see the job description.
Click the job again and scroll to the top of the right panel.
Filters aren’t working.
Select Filter → Clear all, then reapply filters.
I didn’t receive a verification code.
Check Junk/Spam folder, then choose Resend Code.
The page looks frozen or blank.
Refresh the page or switch to Chrome/Edge.
Desktop Users: Quick Tips
If you’re using a laptop or desktop computer:
- The job list and job details may appear side-by-side.
- Scroll within the job details area if you don’t see the full posting.
- Filters and search tools usually appear at the top of the job list.
