Being an active member of the Cougar Nation means getting as involved as possible.  Getting involved means being in the know about everything happening here at CHS, and we have a variety of options to help you do just that.

CENTENNIAL BASEBALL – It’s baseball time at Centennial. Here’s a look at the games this week:

  • Today – At Brentwood
  • Friday – CHS at Home vs. Columbia at noon
    Concessions will be open. Chick-Fil-A will be sold at the game.

**TODAY**SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE – Attention seniors: Applications for the PTSO Academic Scholarship are due to the Counseling Center by the end of the school day.

MU ALPHA THETA – Attention CHS Members of Mu Alpha Theta:
Volunteer hours sheets are due to Mr. Truelock by the end of the school day today if you plan to attend the catered lunch in May and/or you are a Senior and want a FREE Mu Alpha Theta cord to wear at graduation.
Seniors who have not completed their volunteer hours may buy a cord for graduation. The cost is $5 and the deadline to pay is today. Make checks payable to CHS.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS – The Williamson County Special Olympics will be held at CHS today.

NAVY RECRUITER VISIT – The US Navy will have an informational table set up outside the Counseling Center today, during lunch.

SOCCER TRYOUTS – Girls soccer tryouts are May 28th, 29th, 30th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at the soccer field this year.

COLOR GUARD AUDITIONS – Auditions for the CHS Color Guard will continue next week.

  • Tuesday, 4/23 – 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Auditions will be in the CHS band room, just enter through the exterior door on the back side of the school. The door is labeled “CHS Band.” Dress comfortably and bring water.

SENIOR WALK DAY – Attention Seniors: here’s your chance to go back to where your educational journey started as you get ready to graduate high school. You can walk the halls of your elementary school in your cap and gown. Here are the schools participating so far:

  • Franklin Elementary – Wednesday, May 22 at 2:30 pm.
  • Johnson Elementary – Wednesday, May 22nd at 1:30 pm.
  • Liberty Elementary – Wednesday, May 22nd, check-in at 2:30 pm.
  • Moore Elementary – Wednesday, May 22nd at 2:30 pm.
  • Poplar Grove Elementary – Wednesday, May 22nd at 8:00 am. (Sign in by 7:45 am)
  • Winstead Elementary – Wednesday, May 22nd at 9:15. (arrive by 9 am.)

*Details vary, but arrive early, be sure to bring your ID. And contact your specific elementary school with questions.

SENIOR CALENDAR UPDATES – Attention seniors and parents. Several important days are coming up in April and May. These include:

  • Senior Scholarship Ceremony, Tuesday, April 30th 8:30 am, PAC
  • Top Ten Dinner, Tuesday, April 30th, 6:00 pm, Liberty Place Office Park
  • Senior Field Day, Friday, May 3rd
  • Exam Exemptions Due, Thursday, May 15th
  • Final Exams, May 16-21
  • Baccalaureate ceremony, Sunday, May 19th, 3:00 pm, ClearView Baptist Church.
  • Graduation practice at Allen Arena on Friday, May 24th at 8:00 am
  • Graduation ceremony is Friday, May 24th at 6:00 pm

GRADUATION FEE – If you haven’t paid your graduation fee yet, you need to do so as soon as possible. The $75.00 fee includes the purchase of the cap, rental of the gown, diploma, and cover, etc. See Mrs. Wilson in the Counseling office to make your payment.

CAREER SUCCESS SESSIONS – The After School Academy is offering Career Success Sessions led by Carlos Rodriguez through Junior Achievement.  This is a great opportunity to advance your ability and skills necessary to earn and keep a job in high-growth career industries. You won’t want to miss this great info on Wednesdays from 3-4pm in the Library!

PROM TICKETS – Prom Tickets are now on sale for $60.00. Tickets are available from Ms. Stice in room 226 or Ms. Beasley in room 227.

PROM INFO – Prom is April 27, 2019, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Cool Springs. Prom kicks off with Senior Presentations at 7 pm followed by the senior/parent dance. Once presentations are over, parents are asked to leave and the dance begins! For more information, email Jenn Beasley at

CHICK-FIL-A BISCUITS – The Soccer team will be selling Chick-fil-a biscuits on Tuesdays and Thursdays before first period. Be sure to get yours!
