A Message from Mr. Hames
Centennial High School exists to challenge, support, engage, and empower all students for success in a global economy. That is our mission and the reason we do what we do at Centennial High School. This mission drives our decision making each and every day.
We challenge our students by making sure that they have access to over 30 Early Post-Secondary Options and a wide range of Career and Technical courses to prepare them for college and career.
We support our students by giving them opportunities to work with tutors and teachers at different times throughout the day. Students have access to tutors, teachers, and online enrichment each period of the day. Counselors are available to help students select courses and make decisions about their future. All of our teachers have office hours so that students have an opportunity to meet with them individually during our daily enrichment period. After school, for three hours each day, our library is staffed with certified teachers to provide homework help, credit recovery, and enrichment opportunities.
We engage and empower our students with our commitment to making this a place for everyone. Our students have the opportunity to participate in over 75 different student-led clubs, 25 different sports, and several award-winning arts programs including Visual Arts, Music, and Theater. There truly is a place for everyone to plug into Cougar Nation. We are committed to the student experience and strive to do all that we can to challenge, support, engage, and empower our future leaders.
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope that you find it helpful. In addition, please reach out and let me know if you have ideas for us on improving the student experience at CHS. Cougar Nation is a special community, and we are proud of our excellent reputation. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuously improving our service to the Centennial family. Go Cougars!
