Extracurricular Activities at HMS
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. To learn more about a club or activity, select the name in the drop-down below.
Student-led clubs are initiated, created, and led by students at each individual school campus where the club is active. A student who wishes to organize a non-school sponsored, student-led club must obtain prior written consent from the school principal. These clubs are not governed by school officials, but a club monitor is present at the time of student-led club meetings held on school campuses. Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign a permission form for students to participate in any club or activity before their child may participate.

Spring Play
Purpose:
Love to act? This is the place for you! The Spring Play is held every March or April and is the culmination of months of rehearsal.
Auditions are usually held in November or December with rehearsals starting in January. It is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This experience is unlike many community theaters where everyone is cast in the show. We are unable to do that and students should prepare for auditions as much as possible. This is a great experience that builds friendships, confidence, and an understanding of theaters at a higher level. We also create a production team and technical crew. There are many different aspects of the theater and we look to encourage students to investigate these various areas.
