Williamson County Schools is delighted to have students enrolled in accredited education programs apply to student teach, observe, intern or fulfill practicum requirements in the district.
All interested candidates (regardless of placement type) should apply for the Student Teacher Position listed under job vacancies. The application must be complete before a student can be considered for placement. Field placement candidates do not need to attach university transcripts to their application; however, attaching a resume and cover letter is encouraged.
WCS requires that interested applicants meet a certain criteria for placement approval. This approval will be granted by the Central Office Field Placement Coordinator (District Coordinator) listed below. The College/University Coordinator should contact the District Coordinator to secure placement for a candidate. Neither candidates nor coordinators should reach out to principals directly. Placements will be arranged by the District Coordinator and the College/University Coordinator.
