New! Golf Tryouts
There will be two tryout dates this summer for those interested in playing BHS Golf next Fall. The first will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Brentwood Country Club. If you plan on trying out, please contact Chris Saunders by June 2, 2022. If you are not able to attend but are interested in a future tryout date, please reach out as well. The second tryout date will be a makeup for those not able to attend.

The 2022 edition of The Walking Shadow, BHS's literary magazine, is here! It includes both visual art and literature by BHS students. To get your own copy, email Diana Tomayko and bring $15 cash/check payable to BHS.

New! WBHS Channel 9 Programming for May 16
Each week students from the Brentwood High TV & Film I – IV classes create videos highlighting academics, athletics and the arts. They air on Comcast Channel 9 and 1096. View the Channel 9 Programming Guide for the Week of May 16 to find out what’s playing this week.

New! Credit Recovery
There will no longer be credit recovery on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons due to the end of the school year and exams. If a senior still needs to complete Credit Recovery, see Mrs. Eggleston or Ms. Poynter. Summer credit recovery will begin on June 13 and run through July 14. Hours will be 9-2 Monday through Thursday. There will be no Credit Recovery on July 4. See your school counselor if you need to get signed up for Credit Recovery.

Reading is like milk - it keeps your bones growing big and strong. For this reason (and many others), we at Brentwood High School have created a list of requirements for this year's summer reading. New! Graduation DVDs UPDATED
Senior parents: Graduation DVDs will be pre-sale only this year. Copies will not be sold at Lipscomb Arena. DVDs are $10 each, cash or check payable to BHS. Order forms are available in Guidance and Student Services. They will be available for pickup on June 13.

New! Seniors Requesting Transcripts
Seniors, If you haven't already, please request your Final Transcript. You may request your transcript online through the Order a Transcript website. Please select “end of term” when requesting the transcript. There are instructions on the BHS College Career Planning Page.

New! Senior Textbook & Chromebook Returns
Seniors will begin turning in their textbooks, WCS Chromebooks and power cords on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in the library computer lab. Students should enter the lab through the science hallway; students will not be allowed to enter through the library for returns. The Chromebook and charger must be returned together. Chromebooks will be inspected for cracked cases, broken screens, and missing keys. In the case of loss or damage, the following charges may be incurred:
- Lost/not returned - $200
- Multi-part Chromebook repair - $100
- Lost power cord with AC adapter - $40
- Broken screen - $75
- Broken hinge - $25
- Keyboard - $20

New! Grades 9-11 Textbook Returns
Underclassmen can begin turning in their textbooks on Wednesday, May 18 in the library computer lab. Grades 9-11 do not need to turn in their chromebook at the end of the school year.

New! Brentwood Music Fest 2022
The 2nd annual Brentwood Music Fest was held Saturday, April 30th at the Eddie Arnold Amphitheater in Crockett Park. Parents, friends, and neighbors gathered to enjoy a beautiful evening of music from Brentwood Middle and High Schools bands and orchestras. The evening was filled with great food, great weather, and great music. In case you missed it, you can go to Brentwood Music Fest 2022 to watch some highlights. Plan on joining the fun next year as the Brentwood School Music Programs continue this celebration of music in Crockett Park.

Medication Pickup
All medications - prescription and over-the-counter - must be picked up from the clinic by a parent/guardian BEFORE the last day of school; please have an ID on hand when you arrive. We are required to destroy them before summer break. Medication authorization forms, medication guidelines, and all other health-related forms may be found on the WCS Health Services page. Have a great summer!

UNC Morehead-Cain Program
Attention, Juniors! Those interested in being nominated for the Morehead-Cain program at UNC need to complete a BHS Selective Scholarship Form and submit it to guidance by June 13, 2022. Students will be notified in July whether or not they are nominated. For more information on the Morehead-Cain, visit their page on the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill website.

Military Signings
Our military is comprised of individuals who volunteer to serve this country. Clark Meadows and Luke Batts will be serving in the United States Marine Corps and Luke Muldrow will be serving in the Army after graduation. On Thursday, April 21, 2022 they signed their acknowledgment of oaths and we honor their commitment.

BHS TV & Film wins 4th straight WKU Awards
The winning streak continues. After being named the best high school television program in Tennessee two weeks ago, Brentwood High TV & Film won that distinction in Kentucky as well on Friday. For the fourth straight year, Brentwood High TV & Film was honored as the best television program in Kentucky at the WKU Mark of Excellence Awards. Here are the results:
- Best Broadcast: WBHS 9 (1st place)
- Broadcasting MVP: Noah True (1st)
- Best News Package: Eliza Linney & Noah True (1st)
- Best Music Video: Ashlyn Witt (2nd)
- Best Feature Story: Grace Costantine (2nd)
- Best Short Film: Keaton Hardwick & Luke Ellwanger (3rd)
“Obviously, I’m very, very proud of these – and all – my students,” said BHS TV & Film teacher Ronnie Adcock. “I love this time of year because students are rewarded for their hard work. It’s also nice to go out on a high note.”
Mr. Adcock is retiring at the end of the school year.

BHS Summer Camp Registration

6th grade Volleyball Clinic
Brentwood High School volleyball will be hosting a 2-day all skills clinic for rising and current 6th graders on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 and Thursday, April 28, 2022. The fee is $80 per player. Please make checks payable to BHS. Please contact Head VB Coach Cathy Cram with any questions.

Youth Football Camp
The Brentwood Bruins 12th Man Club will again be offering our Youth Football Camp this summer to K-8th grade students interested in both tackle and/or flag football.
Camp Details:
- June 20-22
- 6:00-7:30 p.m.
- BHS James C. Parker Stadium
- $100 fee includes official camp t-shirt
- Grades K-8th, no experience required
Equipment:
- Workout gear is all you need: shorts, t-shirt, socks, athletic shoes or football cleats, and a water bottle.

WBHS = THSPA State Champions!
For the sixth straight year, the Brentwood High TV & Film program are THSPA State Champions. Students won five first-place awards, more than any other program in Tennessee! The 16,000 semi-finalists were selected from the more than 1.5 million entrants in the National Merit Program. Students entered the competition by taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The semi-finalists represent less than 1% of each state's high school seniors.

Athletic Event Tickets
All tickets to home athletic events must be purchased through the GoFan site for BHS. We will be ticketless and cashless again this year.

Chromebook Replacement/Repair Costs
In order to access learning resources seamlessly in the classroom, it is expected that students bring their fully charged WCS chromebook to school each day. If students experience any issues with their chromebook, they may turn in a Help Desk ticket (a link can be found on their Classlink Dashboard) or stop by the library for help in troubleshooting. If the chromebook is found to have been damaged and/or in need of replacement, the following costs will be incurred:
