What Supplies Will My Student Need?
In high school, if specific supplies are needed for individual courses, teachers will communicate about this during the first week of school. In addition, many classes have a class fee, used for purchasing consumable supplies used in the classroom.
Class Fee Payments
Pay for class fees, AP tests, athletic passes, and more using SchoolCashOnline. If you don’t see the class or activity you’re looking for, contact the bookkeeper Misty Dunn

Absence
State Law allows students 8 ABSENCES for the year. After 8 absences, excused or unexcused, a medical note is required to excuse any additional absences.
If your student misses a day of school, please send a handwritten or medical note with your student on their first day back to school. That note should include:
- The student's full legal name
- The date of the absence
- A short explanation of the absence - student is sick, death in the immediate family
- Parent's printed name with phone number
- Parent's signature
If your student missed classes for a medical appointment, please be sure to get the MEDICAL EXCUSE FORM from the doctor. Your student should bring that note to Student Services upon arrival back to school. If you forget to get this form, please call them and ask to have it faxed to me. My fax number is 615-472-5221.
College Visits: Seniors are able to have four days of excused absence for college visits, counted as a field trip. The student must bring documentation from the post-secondary institution indicating that the student visited. Student Services has a form to fill out after the visit, within three days.

Early Dismissals/Late Arrivals
Late Arrivals
Any student who arrives to school after the bell for first period needs to come through the main office and sign in.
Students have a note explaining why they are late to school. Students are allowed 8 excused tardies for the year. Students who do not bring in a note, from either parent or doctor, will receive a detention. Late notes should include:
- The student's full name
- The date of tardiness
- A short explanation for tardiness
- Parent's printed name and phone number
- Parent's signature
If your student is tardy more than 8 times, they will receive a detention for each additional tardy, unless they provide a medical note upon arrival.
Early Dismissals
-
- If a student needs to leave school early and it cannot be pre-arranged, a parent or guardian needs to come to the school office to check out the student.
- If the early dismissal is pre-arranged, the signed, written notice from the parent needs to be turned in to Student Services before 7:40 a.m. The slip will be available to pick up later in the day. Students sign out through Student Services at the time of the dismissal.
- If the student is ill during the day, the nurse can assess and determine if the student should go home. If this is the case, the absence can be coded as having a medically excused absence.
