We are the Westwood Tigers!
Westwood Elementary is located in the heart of Fairview, TN. It is part of the Williamson County School District in Middle Tennessee and is located 40 minutes west of Nashville, TN. Located in the vicinity of Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Dickson, and Spring Hill, Fairview residents have a short commute to almost anywhere in Middle Tennessee. Quaint, quiet, and convenient with a small town atmosphere are just a few ways to describe Fairview, the home of Westwood Elementary School. Fairview is proud to claim Bowie Nature Park as their own, which is the largest city operated park in the United States. The city and community have been dedicated to monitoring the community's growth in an effort to retain the small town atmosphere, but as Williamson County grows, so does Fairview.
Since 2000, Westwood has offered outstanding Academics, Arts, and Athletic programs. Kindergarten through Fifth Grade is offered at Westwood, with an enrollment of 550 students. We welcome you to join us and find out what it means to be a Westwood Tiger!
Students are encouraged to be at school each day for the duration of the school day. Being at school on time and each day ensures students are maximizing their learning potential. Westwood Elementary’s office is open each day to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

School History
There was originally only one elementary school in Fairview, TN, and that was Fairview Elementary School. Fairview Elementary School was opened in August 1962, with an enrollment of 533 students in grades 1-8. The school was built to fill an existing need for a comprehensive consolidated elementary school in the western part of Williamson County. Fairview's opening united Triangle, New Hope and Fairview Schools. In 1971, grades 7 and 8 were moved to the high school, and in 1972, a kindergarten program was implemented. Due to continued growth in the area, the 6th grade was transferred to Fairview Middle School in 1982, and the 5th grade in 1988. In August 2000, Westwood Elementary School was commissioned due to the ever-increasing enrollment. Fairview Elementary and Westwood Elementary shared the same building until Westwood's school building was ready for occupation, which came in January of 2001.
