• A Message from Our Principal

  • Dear Brentwood Middle Parents,

What a week at BMS! This past week was one of the best BMS Spirit weeks that I can ever remember. Our students participated in all of the spirit themes. We had a door decorating contest during the Connections time. Our pep rally was spectacular. We had outstanding performances by our BMS band, dance team, and cheerleading squads. Our volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a strong finish heading into the post-season. Our golf team and tennis teams have had great success this week. Our BMS cross country team won both boys' and girls' WMAA championships this past week. Both JV and Varsity football teams had clutch wins.

In addition to all of the school spirit and sports activities, our PTO has been working in high gear. Congratulations to the entire BMS PTO, and a big thanks to all of our parents for donating to the BMS Mission Possible campaign. We reached our goal of $80,000 dollars faster than we ever have before, and further crushed it with additional donations exceeding the $87,000 mark. This is a credit to Amy Harrison, our PTO fundraising committee chair, and our entire PTO Board. The icing on the cake was a stellar Family Tailgate night. Thank you Erin Mason and Rowena Schimmel for organizing this event for our BMS families this past Thursday night. The weather was perfect. I completed this perfect day by getting to spend another night on the roof in honor of the PTO Mission Possible goal attainment.

Most importantly, Brentwood Middle School was recognized this past week as a Tennessee Reward School for the 2021-2022 School Year. Our teachers and staff did an amazing job preparing and instructing our students. Your students worked extremely hard all last year. To all of our parents, we truly could not have made it without you last year. You stepped up to fill volunteer roles in the cafeteria or applied for substitute positions to help our staff during a shortage of substitutes.Your donations to Mission Possible also helped support our student programs. Thank you so much for your partnership, and congratulations to all on sharing this distinction.
