• A Message from Our Principal

  • Dear Brentwood Middle Parents,

I hope you had a great weekend. As we move into this final week of February, spring is knocking on our door. We are beginning to ramp up our transition season for our students. Parents of 8th graders, make sure that you have signed up for the freshmen conference with BHS through the sign-up genius that was sent out. You will join the conference via zoom. It is important that your students know their correct time slot for the upcoming meeting.

This week we will have our Rising 8th Grade Parent Meeting for parents of current seventh graders beginning at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria on Tuesday, February 27. We will share course offerings in related arts next year along with high school credit offerings for our 8th graders. We will have information on the new building and updates on school procedures for the 4th nine weeks and next year. During the related arts periods on Tuesday, the 7th graders will hear about these course offerings. For all of our students, we will have a meeting to discuss moving to the new building, new locations for the car-rider line, and procedures for drop off and dismissal. On Tuesday, March 5, I will send out a special edition of the BMS Newsletter to parents outlining the upcoming move into the new building, changes in the car rider line, drop off and dismissal procedures, and changes in operations.

For a couple of final notes to this action-packed week, we will have a student-led Black History Month presentation on famous black Tennesseans in Tennessee History on Wednesday, February28. I want to thank those students for their work on this presentation. Finally, I want to wish our students the best of luck in participating in the Williamson County Honors Orchestra band on Tuesday night, and congratulations to all of our standouts in our BMS Choir this past week.

Dr. Bill Harlin, Principal of Brentwood Middle
