What's Happening at Woodland
Woodland will be closed November 21 through November 25 for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume Monday, November 28 on a Late Start schedule.
We are currently experiencing an increase in illnesses in our school. Please check the current WCS Illness Guidelines and refer to them when your child is displaying symptoms of illness. Thank you for helping to keep our WMS community healthy. Stay well
23 of Woodland's 7th and 8th grade orchestra students were selected to be part of the Williamson County Honors Orchestra! These students will be joining the best orchestra students from Williamson County for a full day of rehearsals that culminate in a concert on November 17. A big congratulations to the following WMS Warriors: Addison Dempsey, Dakota Shaffner, Agamya Singh, Annabelle Walton, Clayton Blanton, Josephine Conkwright, Micah Harkins, Zachary McAtee, Anika Pandey, Julian Sikes, Mizuki Sikes, Henry Thurman, Kenzo Yamashita, Evelyn Zadell, Rhys Conkwright, Lia Dovgalyuk, Vibha Kedilaya, Venkata Pagadala, Lucia Jung, Yuny Kim, Manvitha Marepally, Lydia Stephan, and Olivia Watson.
The Library is hosting a bookmark design contest. This year the design must be inspired by a book by Andrew Maraniss, who will be visiting the school in January. Read one of his books of your choice and design a bookmark that you think represents it best. There will be one winner per grade level, and each winner will receive a gift card for the book fair! Final bookmark designs are due on Friday, November 18th. Please pick up a contest form from one of the librarians.

Williamson County Schools is committed to creating a safe educational environment for all students. Any WCS student who believes he or she has been subjected to bullying or harassment or who has witnessed instances of bullying is encouraged to report that behavior to school personnel.
