Character Development
Teaching character education is about creating a safe learning environment, a culture of excellence that fosters thinking, and creating a growth mindset. The basis of our character education program stems from our PBIS rewards. Our goal is to build leaders every day.
-
Eagle Pride
Students who exemplify one of our school character traits will be recognized at our leader assemblies. Two students from each class will be chosen by staff members for each assembly.
-
HES Leader Traits
Our leader traits are: integrity, respect, positivity, responsibility, teamwork, service, empathy, bravery, perseverance, and independence.

Guidance
The licensed, professional counselors at Heritage are specially trained in counseling interventions, theories, and techniques. As an integral part of the school counseling program’s effort, the counselor extends a hand to all students, not just the problem or troubled child. The school counseling program supports and complements the efforts of the classroom teacher to facilitate your child’s learning.
