As Maverick athletes, students will make a commitment to themselves, teammates, and the athletic program by following the expectations of being an athlete. MCMS offers a wide variety of sports in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Learn more about Williamson County Schools athletic guidelines and requirements, and complete required electronic athletic forms in order to participate. For specific information on tryouts for various sports, please contact the head coach. Admission to games is $5 for adults and $3 for students.Athletic Directors

FinalForms Dashboard
In order to be eligible to tryout and participate in athletic programs or activities, all required athletic annual physical forms must be completed electronically through the Williamson County Schools FinalForms online dashboard. This enables parents and students to complete required athletic forms electronically. For parents and students new to Williamson County Schools, if you have not been provided access to the FinalForms dashboard, please contact your school’s athletic director or coach for assistance. You can find their contact information on the school’s Staff page and the Athletics Staff page.Complete information regarding athletics can be found at the Williamson County Schools district website athletics department.

Football and Basketball CheerFootball/Basketball Cheer tryouts begin in late spring and practices run from May through the end of the summer. The season begins in early August and finishes in October (for football season) and December through February (for basketball season).

Coach Holly Pring (Girls)Cross Country tryouts and conditioning begin in late July. The season starts in early August and finishes in late September.

Football and Basketball Dance Team
Dance team tryouts start in late spring and workouts begin in late May. The season runs from August (football season) through February (basketball season).

Football conditioning and tryouts begin at the end of May and run throughout the summer. The season ends in early October.

Golf tryouts take place in the summer and the season runs from August until September.

Tennis tryouts and conditioning begin in July and the season runs from August through September.

Volleyball

Volleyball tryouts begin in late May and workouts start in early June. Official practice begins in mid-July, and the season runs from August through September.

Boys and Girls Basketball open gym begins in mid-October and tryouts take place in mid-November. Official practice begins the first week of December. The season runs from December to February.

Bowling

Tryouts for the MCMS Bowling Team begin in the fall semester. Boys and girls who are interested should reach out to Coach Young for more information. The season runs from January to February with final tournaments in late February.

Girls Coach: Jill NelsonGirls soccer tryouts begin in late September and the season runs from October through December, and boys soccer tryouts begin in late September. The soccer season begins in October and runs through December.

Wrestling

Physicals and all necessary paperwork must be submitted and current in Final Forms to practice.
