• SES Counseling

As a part of our comprehensive, developmental School Counseling program at Scales Elementary, our counselor serves our students, parents, and teachers through a wide variety of services.  Some of the services include:

    • Individual Counseling
    • Small Group Counseling
    • Character Education through classroom lessons
    • 504 Coordinator
    • Counseling Connection (updates in Scales E-News)
    • Consultation and Collaboration with Parents, Teachers, and Administrators
  • Character Development

Students will participate in Classroom Lessons throughout the school year.  Each month the lesson will focus on a different character trait and will be aligned to the district, state, and national standards required of School Counselors.  Should a need arise within a classroom or grade-level, teachers may request a specific lesson topic as well.  All lessons are need and prevention based, with some topics such as personal safety, conflict resolution, and bullying prevention.
