    Vision: The vision of the Hillsboro School counseling team is to assist all students in becoming intellectual, responsible, and ethical individuals who are prepared to meet the challenges and responsibilities of life. 

    Mission: The mission of the Hillsboro School counseling team is to inspire students to strive for excellence through academic, career, and social/emotional development. Students are provided with opportunities to gain an understanding of themselves and others, in preparation for success as college and career-ready individuals who are responsible citizens and treat others with kindness. 

    Mindsets: Our counseling team believes: 

    • The school counseling program is a critical component of the education process which enhances student academic, career, and social/emotional outcomes. 

    •  Effective school counseling is a collaborative process involving school counselors, students, families, teachers, administrators, other school staff, and education stakeholders.  

    • All students can be successful learners with collective support and efforts between family, school, and community members.
