Extracurricular
-
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. To learn more about a club or activity, select the name in the dropdown below.
Student-led clubs are initiated, created, and led by students at each individual school campus where the club is active. A student who wishes to organize a non-school sponsored, student-led club must obtain prior written consent from the school principal. These clubs are not governed by school officials, but a club monitor is present at the time of student-led club meetings held on school campuses.
Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign appropriate forms before their child may participate in a club. A separate permission form must be completed for every club or organization that each student participates in. The links to club permission forms appear below:
Visit WCS Board Policy 6.702 for detailed guidelines and rules about school-sponsored and student-led clubs, activities and organizations.

Student Council
Sponsor(s): Ms. Baumgardner and Ms. Loecher
Student Council is an important group of students who meet every other week (on Tuesdays) to organize and carry out projects to help the school and the community during the school year.
The group is comprised of homeroom representatives and at-large members. The homeroom representatives are elected or selected by the homeroom to represent the homeroom class, so these students report back their homerooms and help lead their homerooms during competitions. The at-large members are full-fledged Student Council members, but they are not required to be spokespeople for their homerooms. The at-large members may come and go, as their after-school schedules allow.
Some of the projects the Student Council has conducted in the past have been the collection of canned food for the needy of Williamson County, collection of funds to aid the victims of disasters, fund-raising projects to purchase special items for the school, sponsoring dances for 7th and 8th Graders, and organizing “Spirit Week” to foster school spirit for the whole student body.

Night at the Wax Museum
Woodland Middle School Theatre proudly presents “Night at the Wax Museum!” School’s out for summer, but not for six unlucky students who don’t know much about history; they have to retake the class in summer school. First year teacher Heather Fairchild has arranged for them to help her two aunts set up a new wax museum as a class project. Though the students are bored, there’s a twinkle in the wax figures’ eyes when a mysterious incantation from the back of Cleopatra’s bracelet brings them to life! A lot of your favorite historical characters are out and about, such as King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, John Adams, and much more! Historical meets hysterical in this gut busting play written by Craig Sodaro. Tickets are $5 online or at the door.
