We love our parents and the many others who make Edmondson Elementary School the great place it is!  We couldn’t do much of what we do without you.  To become a volunteer at the school, individuals must complete an application and confidentiality agreement. To chaperone a field trip, you must become a Tier III Volunteer. Both forms and process instructions are available on the Williamson County District site.  We look forward for our parents becoming a volunteer at Edmondson Elementary School, and thank you in advance!

Car Rider Dismissal Information: This year we are making some changes to our afternoon car rider dismissal. In an effort to create a safer dismissal, we are going to distribute car rider tags (at back to school fair) that will be placed in all vehicles. The tags have a box to put family last names and our car rider team will be looking for these tags. Our new procedures are as follows:

  • Display your family Car Rider tag.
  • Pull up closely behind the next car in line and turn your engines off.
  • An Edmondson Elementary staff member will sound the siren to signal parents to get out of their car and get your child (please go to sidewalks so the student(s) can identify you).
  • If you do not see your child, please tell a staff member and they will assist you.
  • You may be required to drive around the car rider line, if we have to utilize the office to locate your child.
  • If you do not have your car tag visible, our staff will ask for your driver’s license to verify identity before releasing students.
Thank you for your help and keeping all students safe.

Enrollment at EES

New Student Enrollment

Kindergarten: Children registering for Kindergarten must be five years old on or before August 15.  Register your rising kindergartner now for Fall 2019. Call the EES office at (615)472-4360 to register your student. Learn more about Kindergarten at EES from the information below!

You have taken the first step in a very exciting process for both you and your child.  Whether your child is attending school at EES for the first time as a Kindergartner, or coming from another school in grades 1-5, we want the experience to be positive and memorable.  In addition to their homeroom teacher, your son or daughter will be going to different teachers for Music, Library, P.E., Art, and Life Skills.  Our faculty and staff will always be available to assist you and your child.

-Trent Satterfield, Principal

Parents enrolling new students at Edmondson Elementary should begin by reviewing all enrollment forms and requirements on the WCS Website. You can view what legal documents you will need to bring with you to kindergarten registration. 2019-2020 WCS district forms will be provided at the EES registration event. If you choose to print the WCS forms from home and bring them with you, please make sure they are the 2019-2020 forms. Previous year forms will not be accepted.

1. Prepare your child for the longer school hours. Emphasize how much fun school will be, because it is.
2. Work on dressing skills, particularly buttoning, zipping, shoe tying, turning clothes inside out, and putting on outer play wear.
3. During the first few weeks of school, we encourage your child to buy their lunch at least once to become familiar with lunch room procedures. If your child will normally bring a lunch box please practice opening and closing a thermos, baggies, and other containers to be used. This will help your child feel in control of his or her environment.
4. Establish a nightly bedtime and a regular “time for bed” schedule.
5. Help your child organize belongings and learn to keep track of personal items.

Dear Kindergarten Parents:

Welcome to kindergarten at Edmondson Elementary for the 2019-20 school year!

Your children are special, rare, and unique. It is our pleasure to have them in kindergarten, and it is our hope that at the end of the year, all students will know the joy and value of learning as well as the power of knowledge. We want to make sure they are ready and prepared to start Kindergarten so we have provided a Kindergarten Readiness Checklist for your information to make sure your child is ready for Kindergarten.

Returning Student Enrollment

Returning student online registration for the 2019-2020 school year opened March 4. Registration must be completed on a desktop computer using a Skyward login. A parent login must be used, not a student login. Registration takes place at the currently enrolled school. If a child will attend a different school during the 2019-20 school year, that change will be visible in Skyward over the summer.

Please call the school if you are having problems logging in to your account – (615) 472-4360. Please note that registration updates cannot be made through the Skyward mobile app, and for the forms to display correctly in Skyward, you will need to make sure your browser’s pop-up blocker is disabled. When registering, be sure to fully complete each step and click submit to ensure the registration is finished.
