Elementary Fine Arts
All elementary students in Williamson County Schools (WCS) receive art and music classes from certified art and music specialists.
Visual Art
Every student in kindergarten through fifth grade receives visual art classes from a certified and highly qualified visual art specialist during their specials rotation. The goal in elementary visual art is to foster a love of and interest in visual art as students begin to develop their personal artistic voices. Students explore art and art-making from many cultures, time periods and media, developing a sense of self through learning the creative process of making art.
Music
Every student in kindergarten through fifth grade receives music classes from a certified and highly qualified music specialist during their specials rotation. The goal at the elementary level is to foster a love of and interest in music. Students explore music from around the world and many time periods. They will perform and create music, learn to respond to music and make meaningful connections with music.
