CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES

HOSA: Health Occupational Services club is for students interested in a career in the health care field. Sponsored by Christy Brumit.

STARS SEC: This is a leadership club for students who have pledged to be alcohol, drug, tobacco, and violence free. The leadership team helps to plan events to encourage others to make the same pledge. Sponsored by Amy Lazaro.

JTG: Jobs for Tennessee Graduates become familiar with the organization and participate in events dealing business-realted issues. Sponsored by Vickie Parsons.

BETA CLUB: Top 15% of each class is inducted into the BETA Club. Students have to complete the application process to be accepted.

STUDENT COUNCIL: Students that run for and are elected to leadership positions as officers or representatives to help govern the student body of Fairview High School. Sponsored by Amanda Sparkman and Stephanie McGaha.

FFA: Future Farmers of America is an organization to promote and demonstrate abilities in the field of agriculture. Sponsor is David Harper.

FCA: Fellowship of Christian Athletes is sponsored by Chris Hughes.

TSA: Technology Student Association is an organization to promote and demonstrate students’ abilities in the field of technology and engineering. Sponsored by Kevin Sizemore.

ART CLUB: Local artists will provide art instruction for those students interested in all forms of art.

ACADEMIC DECATHLON: Students are tested on material in the following categories: math, science, art, history, literature, English, and music. Students will compete against other school in the events. Sponsored by Lisa Beard.

LINK CREW: Students are selcted for this activity who demonstrate leadership and team building skills. The students help with tutoring, school improvement, and orientation for new students.

VIDEO CLUB: Students in the media production classes spend time after school filming short videos and editing those videos. Sponsored by Bob King.

HABITAT HIGH: Faith-based non-profit creating partnerships to build affordable homes, stronger communities, and life-changing opportunities for hard working families in Williamson and Maury counties. Sponsored by Sherri Heileman.
