Serving and Growing at HES

Students at Heritage Elementary have many opportunities to get involved and give back to the community. All programs meet at HES either before or during school hours.

Students in grades third, fourth, and fifth have the opportunity to participate in Run Crew. Run Crew will meet two mornings a week with the goal to participate in a couple of community kids races. Students are not required to participate in the community races in order to be a part of Run Crew.

Research has proven that exercise stimulates the brain. We are hoping this will give the kids an extra bump in energy to prepare them for school and learning.

The Eagle Council at Heritage Elementary is made up of representatives from every fourth and fifth grade class. These students are the student leaders at Heritage Elementary. Each year the Eagle Council participates in several community outreach activities including food drives, bake sales to benefit local charities, the mitten tree, and the Eagle Book Exchange.
